I’ve known Marc Levenson for well…it seems years now. MOST aquarists should know him by now, especially given the fact that Marc remains one of the most down to earth, humble, and likable marine aquarists I know. He also happens to have rather brilliant ideas every now and again (those of us in the hobby long enough know exactly who to thank for the “Mandarin Diner”).
I don’t know if this was Marc’s idea, but I’ll credit Marc with bringing this to the forefront – the use of a check valve as a siphon break on return plumbing. I saw this video and knew it was a handy tip we simply had to share:
