This is a critical moment for the aquarium fishery in Hawaii! After years of work to satisfy the environmental analysis requirements, the state’s Land Board will receive a Department of Aquatic Resources recommendation regarding the issuance of commercial AQ permits for the West Hawaii Regional Fishery Management Area. This vote will determine whether the fishery can reopen.

Please make your voice heard in support of this extensively studied, well-managed, and very sustainable fishery.

Message the Hawaii Land Board via Pet Advocacy Network’s online form.
